Hand-carved, low “grandfather’s chair” from the Dan tribe, circa early 20th century. Traditionally owned by distinguished families and required permission to use. This piece features a rich patina and a beautifully hand-polished sheen.

Hand-carved piece with the type of patina one would expect from a tribal piece of its age. It has splits in the wood and slight movement in the joints. Dappled water marks on front of seat.
